KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Officials with the Knoxville Metropolitan Airport Authority say they received a call a little after 7am Monday morning that a Spirit airlines plane needed to make an emergency landing.
The KMAA could not confirm why the plane needed to make the landing but did say no one was injured.
Pete Michaels is reporting that the plane had a cracked windshield.
One-hundred forty-six passengers were on board the plane, which was flying from Detroit to Tampa.
Spirit is working with other airlines to get the passengers to their destinations.
