JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) -- Police in East Tennessee didn't have to look far for an attempted robbery suspect.
Police charged 26-year-old Dustin Smith of Gray with an attempted robbery at the Gray Pharmacy. Investigators said a man answering Smith's description pulled up to the drive-in window Monday and told an employee to give him drugs and no one would get hurt. The would-be robber kept his hand obscured so employees couldn't tell if he had a gun. No narcotics were handed over and the man left.
Police knew where to find their suspect. They arrested Smith on Tuesday when he showed up in Washington County General Sessions Court on an unrelated charge.
