Police: 3 killed in south Memphis shooting

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- Police say a man has fatally shot his girlfriend and her parents in the family's home in south Memphis, then turned himself in to authorities with a 4-year-old in tow.

Memphis police spokeswoman Karen Rudolph says police were called to the home at 5:45 a.m. Officers found two dead shooting victims -- a 23-year-old woman and a 56-year-old man.

Rudolph said a third person who was shot, a 46-year-old woman, was transported to a hospital, where she died.

Rudolph said the shooter fled the scene, but then turned himself in to authorities about two hours later. He showed up at a police station with a 4-year-old girl, who had been in the home but was not hurt.
