NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Police say a Nashville metro councilman has been arrested on a charge of patronizing prostitution after being caught in a hotel sting.
Metropolitan Nashville Police say in a news release that 33-year-old Metropolitan County Councilman Brady Banks of Brentwood is accused of paying $100 to a female undercover officer for sex.
Banks did not immediately respond to phone and email messages requesting comment Thursday night.
Police say he was responding to an escort service ad that the police department posted on the Internet.
Authorities say he was one of three men arrested during the sting. Police say two other men were arrested earlier in the day.
