NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says officers have arrested a suspect in a fatal shooting in Middle Tennessee.
Police said in a statement Sunday that the shooting victim, 42-year-old Donald Heath Anderson, identified the suspect, 21-year-old Joseph Morgan Lawson, to a trooper before succumbing to his injuries.
Police say Lawson lured Anderson to a residence Saturday in Macon County and waited with a rifle until he arrived. Police say Lawson fled the scene after the shooting, but officers located him after a brief manhunt in Macon and Jackson counties.
Police say the shooting was over a woman.
Lawson has been charged with criminal homicide. Online jail records don't say whether he has an attorney.
