NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- The Nashville Predators remain in the Central Division in the first season of the NHL's realignment, and they open the season Oct. 3 visiting the St. Louis Blues.
The Predators already had been slotted into a division with Chicago, St. Louis, Colorado, Dallas, Minnesota and Winnpeg under realignment. Under the schedule released Friday by the NHL, every Eastern Conference team will visit Nashville.
Nashville starts on the road for the fifth time in six seasons with the home opener Oct. 8 against Minnesota.
The Predators will have road trips between Oct. 31 and Nov. 15 while their home arena hosts the CMA Awards and April 4-8 during the Women's Final Four. The schedule also features an 18-day break between Feb. 9 and 26 for the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
