PULASKI, Tenn. (AP) -- TBI agents have arrested a Pulaski man who they suspect of sexually abusing children.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said Wednesday agents arrested 80-year-old Maurice Dale "Jimmy" McAllister the day before on one count of aggravated rape, one count of sexual battery and one count of aggravated burglary.
The local prosecutor asked the TBI to investigate after receiving complaints from several members of a Giles County Amish community.
The state agency said McAllister is suspected of abusing both male and female children over the last seven years.
Investigators said further charges were possible.
McAllister was held Wednesday in the Giles County Jail where records did not show if he had an attorney.
