Pellissippi State CC opens Strawberry Plains campus Monday

KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) - Officials will cut ribbon on Pellissippi State Community College's Strawberry Plains campus today.

The campus is at 7201 Strawberry Plains Pike.

Math, English and learning support classes begin August 26.

The facility is 223,000 square feet and offers multiple classrooms, open office space, gathering areas, private offices, and more.

So far, about 30,000 square feet have been renovated into classrooms, computer labs, a distance learning classroom and office space. Additional space will become available in phases as enrollment increases.

Prospective students may apply for admission, take a placement test, register for classes and get financial aid information each Thursday through Aug. 16.

The Strawberry Plains location Pellissippi State's fifth campus.

The community is invited to participate in the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2pm.
