Safety Tips for Trick-Or-Treating

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Rural metro wants to make sure this year's Halloween is a safe one by offering some safety tips for parents and kids.

Costumes should be brightly colored, flame resistant, and should use face paints instead of masks whenever possible.

At least one adult should accompany Trick-or-Treaters.

Make sure to stay in well lit, familiar areas, and obey all regular traffic laws.

Parents, and adults should inspect all candy before kids eat it.
