Search underway for missing Whitley County man

WHITLEY CITY, Ky. (WKYT) - The Whitley County Sheriff's Office says they're investigating a missing person's case.

They say around noon Thursday, William "Dan" Oaks, Sr., 62, was reported missing by his daughter. She says he was last seen at his home on Highway 25 South, near Williamsburg on the afternoon of January 2nd.

Oaks stands at 5'11" tall, and weighs around 181 pounds. He has blue eyes and brown hair. We've attached a picture for reference.

The Whitley County Sheriff's Department says they're searching on the ground for Oaks. If anyone has any information, call 606-549-6017.
