PORTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -- Authorities say two young men from Tennessee and Indiana have died following a high-speed crash in southwestern Michigan.
The Cass County sheriff's department says 19-year-old driver Gabriel Spencer-Forsyth of Tennessee and 20-year-old passenger Kevin Shupert of Elkhart, Ind., died following the Tuesday night crash in Porter Township, near the Indiana state line. A 19-year-old man from Osceola, Ind., was taken to a hospital.
The department didn't immediately release a hometown for Spencer-Forsyth.
The surviving passenger told investigators that he and his friends were traveling fast when the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree.
