CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) -- Authorities say Bledsoe County's sheriff was arrested for disorderly conduct.

According to WRCB-TV (http://bit.ly/V0vbWe), Sheriff James "Jimmy" Morris was taken into custody by Dunlap police around 4 a.m. Sunday following an incident outside a restaurant.

Huddle House restaurant manager Chris Cross told WRCB he received a call from one of his employees around 3 a.m. saying the sheriff was allegedly in a fight in the parking lot along with several other men and women.

The arrest report doesn't describe a fight, but says Morris was taken away in handcuffs and charged with disorderly conduct. He later bonded out of jail with a thousand dollars.

Cross says the incident has created a lot of buzz because Morris is "an authority figure."
