Shooting at birthday party kills 1, injures 3

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Police in Nashville are investigating a shooting at an adult's birthday party that left the host dead and injured three guests.

Police say two masked gunmen entered the garage where 32-year-old Lashunda Brown was hosting the party Saturday night for her 24-year-old brother and demanded cash.

Police said shots were fired after a struggle and Brown died at the scene. Police said three others -- 29-year-old Delano Blair, 25-year-old Marquez Baugh and 20-year-old Chelsey Kephart -- suffered gunshot wounds and were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where they remain in stable condition.

The gunmen left on foot.

Police are asking anyone with information about the shootings to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
