MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- A 20-year-old pregnant woman has been hospitalized and a 22-year-old woman killed in separate shootings in Memphis.
Police spokeswoman Karen Rudolph told The Commercial Appeal that police responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex Friday night and found the pregnant woman with a gunshot wound to the hip.
Rudolph says two other apartments in the area were also shot into around the time the pregnant woman was shot.
The victim was transferred to the Regional Medical Center in noncritical condition.
Police found the 22-year-old woman dead at about 11:15 p.m. CDT Friday. Officers at the scene say someone chased the woman across a parking lot before the shooting.
Rudolph says the woman, whose identity was not immediately released, died at the Regional Medical Center.
