Summer camp scheduled for prospective doctors

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) -- A summer camp at East Tennessee State University is aimed at rural high school students interested in careers in medicine and the health sciences.

The Rural High School Medical Summer Camp June 10-15 will include job shadowing, field trips, lectures and presentations on various fields of medicine. The host is ETSU's James H. Quillen College of Medicine.

Campers must be at least 16 years old. Tuition is $175 with the deadline for applications March 15.
