UPDATE: The TBI says agents are currently in the process of notifying the victim's family. Investigators also say they have a person of interest in the case who has been taken into custody.
LOBELVILLE, Tenn.(WVLT) – Officials said a suspect remains at large after one person was killed during a shooting at the US National Guard Armory in Perry County.
Officials with the Perry County Sheriff’s Office said at least one person was killed in the incident. The person’s name has not been released.
Officers from the Linden Police Department and deputies from the Perry County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a shooting at the facility, located on Highway 13 North in Lobelville, Wednesday afternoon.
Agents with the TBI have also been called to the scene.
Sheriff Tommy Hickerson with the Perry County Sheriff's Office said they are searching for a suspect described as a white male, in his late teens to early 20s, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a red shirt. Officials said he should be considered armed.
