RICHMOND, Ky. (WKYT) - Kevin J. Coldiron, 39, of Tyner, Kentucky was arrested for several offenses after shoplifting at a Richmond Meijer.
When officers arrived to the scene they say they saw Coldiron taking a pair of boots, putting them on and hiding the shoe box. After that, we're told he went to the clothing section and put on a black hoodie after ripping off the price tag.
According to police, he tried to leave the store without paying for anything and some employees confronted him at the front door.
Police say that Coldiron then removed the hoodie, and boots along with blue jeans, socks and a hat that he had stolen from the store.
Police say that he then charged at one of the employees, grabbed him by the shirt and pushed him into the entrance door until it popped open. Police say that he then ran from the scene in only his boxers.
Officers found Coldiron at his home, in his front yard, shortly after he left the store. Police say his boxer shorts were ripped and he was exposed while under the influence of an intoxicant.
Later on, police found out that Coldiron broke into the home that they found him at and was confronted in the kitchen by the residents. Police say that the residents escorted him from their home and all the while Coldiron was exposing himself.
Coldiron was then arrested and put into a police cruiser. In the cruiser, Coldiron started banging his head against the protective screen inside the vehicle, according to police. As officers tried to get him to stop, Coldiron kicked one of the officers in the chest twice.
Officers were finally able to restrain Coldiron and he's now in the Madison County Detention Center.
Coldiron was charged for robbery, criminal trespassing, indecent exposure, public intoxication, disorderly conduct and assaulting a police officer.
