TDOC holds forums for family, friends of offenders

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- The Tennessee Department of Correction is holding a series of forums for family and friends of offenders.

The first of three forums will take place Friday at the National Guard Armory in Jackson in West Tennessee. The event will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is limited to 250 attendees.

Family and friends of offenders currently incarcerated or on community supervision are invited.

Correction Department officials will be available to answer general questions about policies, procedures and daily operations.

Two other forums are planned for East and Middle Tennessee later this year.
