JACKSON, Tenn. (AP) -- With a huge crowd expected at the Shiloh battlefield this weekend, state transportation officials are sending six HELP trucks to help traffic.
An estimated 12,000 re-enactors more than 50,000 spectators are anticipated at the 150th anniversary of the battle near the Tennessee River and the Mississippi border.
The "lime-yellow" trucks are based in Memphis. They have spare fuel on board, push bumpers, directional arrow boards on top and other tools to assist motorists or help keep traffic flowing.
The observance of the battle runs from Friday-Sunday.
