NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Tennessee State University is capping the month of February with a series on healthy dating.
The event is free to the public and begins at 7 p.m. Sunday in the Floyd Payne Auditorium on the university's campus and continues through Thursday at the same time.
The lecturer is Michael Polite, who has spoken nationally on the topic. He says people who have an unhealthy dating lifestyle sometimes experience problems when they get married because of baggage they created while dating.
Says Polite: "By the time we get married, we are loaded down with past hurt, past mistakes, and past scars."
