NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- The Hermitage and the Tennessee State Museum are presenting a teacher workshop Saturday in Nashville about the War of 1812.
Participants will visit The Hermitage, the home of President Andrew Jackson, to discuss his role in the war. They also will have a guided tour of an exhibit about the war at the museum. Teachers also will be given lesson ideas about the war.
According to a news release from the museum, teachers will receive six hours of in-service credit for participating.
