MARTIN, Tenn. (AP) -- The University of Tennessee at Martin Office of Housing has won a third-place award at the National Association of College and University Residence Halls conference.

The school said the office was cited for its participation in the Earth Hour Project, which promotes energy conservation in the world.

The award was based on residence hall programs, community service, volunteer hours, philanthropy and other factors.
