MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- The University of Tennessee Health Science Center has received a $1 million grant to study brain tumors.
The Center for Cancer Research at the science center got the funds from the U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity.
The grant, to be used over two years, will support advanced equipment used to improve the diagnosis of brain cancer and help treat the disease.
The U.S. Army group is the contracting element of the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command.
