Victim's car sought in burned body case

WINCHESTER, Tenn. (AP) -- Authorities in Franklin County say they're looking for a car belonging to a woman whose partially burned body was found beside a road.

Authorities issued a bulletin Monday, telling officers to be on the lookout for a 1995 Ford Mustang with Tennessee license plate 533-SBB.

The Chattanooga Times Free Press reported the Franklin County Sheriff's Office still had not released the name of the victim, but said she was 24 years old. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is helping investigate the death.

A driver called 911 early Monday to report what was thought to be a grass fire near the Awalt Bridge over TIms Ford Lake northwest of Winchester. When the motorist turned around to check on it, the still-burning body was visible.
