WAVERLY, Tenn. (AP) -- Safety officials say a tractor-trailer truck has overturned near the Tennessee River, closing the westbound lanes of Interstate 40.
The crash occurred Monday morning at exit 143 -- the Rt. 13 interchange in Humphreys County.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation estimates I-40 will reopen westbound at about 9 a.m. Westbound traffic is being diverted onto U.S. 70.
Eastbound traffic on the interstate is not affected.
