Larry Wheelon horses returned

BLOUNT COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A judge has acquitted Larry Wheelon of animal abuse charges, and Wednesday the horse trainer got his horses back.

Five came in Wednesday and the rest should be back sometime this week.

A Blount county judge found there wasn't enough evidence to send his case to grand jury.

Wheelon was accused apply caustic chemicals to Tennessee Walking Horses' to accentuate their gait. The practice is used to improve performances in shows.
