Woman, 80, dies when fire burns Clarksville home

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Clarksville authorities say a woman has died as her home burned.

According to The Leaf-Chronicle, the alarm came in shortly after 11 p.m. Monday. Firefighters arrived to find the roof fallen in and only the brick walls standing.

Emergency officials said the victim was an 80-year-old woman, but her name was not immediately released.
