UNICOI COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) - The former Erwin Pizza Hut shift manager accused of spitting in the Unicoi County Chief Deputy's pizza was indicted by the Unicoi County Grand Jury today, according to the court clerk's office.
The court clerk's office confirms grand jurors indicted Amanda Engle today on the charge of vandalism under $500.
A judge previously bound over the woman's case after prosecutors changed her charge from disorderly conduct to vandalism under $500.
Back in January, Unicoi County Sheriff Mike Hensley told us Engle spit in his chief deputy's pizza in an effort to retaliate against the officer.
Engle called the accusation ridiculous and said she didn't do it.
She is due back in court on June 19th.
