Woman faces neglect charge after kids found on street

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) -- A Johnson City woman faces child neglect charges after her toddlers were found on a city street.

The Johnson City Press reported 36-year-old Melissa Drake was arrested after her children, ages 1 and 3, were found in the road. Neither child was hurt. Both were placed in protective custody by the Department of Children's Services.

Drake was held on $10,000 bond after the incident on Saturday and was scheduled to appear in court Monday.
