Woman robbed outside local bank

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A woman trying to make a deposit at the Citizens Bank of Blount County on Chapman Highway, was robbed of her money Wednesday morning.

The woman told police the suspect approached her with a handgun, took her deposit and then ran off toward Moody Avenue.

Police started looking for a black male, 5'8'' inches to 6' foot tall, weighing about 160 lbs. The suspect was wearing a dark navy blue hoodie and blue jeans.
