MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- An Arkansas woman accused of charging more than $1,700 on a credit card belonging to a deceased country music personality will be returned to that state to face charges.
Misty Akin took a job with Gene Williams' country music business last fall after her release from federal prison, where she served time for embezzlement, according to The Commercial Appeal. She also moved into Williams' Sherwood, Ark., home.
The 73-year-old was still hosting the long-running Gene Williams Country Music Television Show in Branson, Mo., when he died in December of natural causes.
The 39-year-old Akin was arrested in Memphis earlier this month.
She also faces charges on violations of her state parole and federal probation.
She waived a federal court hearing on Friday and agreed to be returned to Arkansas.
