JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) -- Police in Johnson City have charged a woman with child neglect after her 5-year-old was found outside, naked, in freezing weather.
Police said 24-year-old Angelina Cruzcortes was arrested after officers found her child walking on a road without any clothing Wednesday morning.
The National Weather Service said temperatures in the region had dipped to just below freezing for the low reading Wednesday morning.
Cruzcortes is 24. Washington County Jail records don't indicate whether she yet has an attorney. She is held in lieu of $10,000 bond.
