JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) -- Friday is Olympic Day at East Tennessee State University, and visitors will get the chance to participate in various games.

According to the Johnson City Press, guests will be invited to play baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball and soccer and join in sprinting, gymnastics, jumping, weightlifting and arts and crafts. ETSU has been designated as a U.S. Olympic training site for weightlifting.

Local community organizations that run children's summer programs are busing in 600 to 700 youngsters for the event.

The Olympics are July 27-Aug. 12 in London.
