Largest python in U.S. is at the Knoxville Zoo

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)- Whitney Kent introduces us to a special animal at the Knoxville Zoo.

Her name is Buttercup and she is a 23 foot long, 200 pound reticulated python and she's the largest in the United States.

Buttercup made her way here from Oklahoma City and will be with us here until Labor Day. Her big debut is this weekend on Saturday March 12th.

Courier of Herpetology, Phil Colclough tells us, "She's the biggest snake that we've ever worked with and we're all excited as a staff to have her here. It's kind of a new thing for us and I think the public is going to love her."

The zoo is now open on the weekends from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Make sure to visit this weekend for the big debut!

Really? I find this on Google News. So it is the largest Peyton? Bigger even than the Peyton Manning? Do you have any editors?
