Medic offering incentives to blood donors

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Medic blood donors will be offered special incentives, including Regal Cinemas, on Monday and Tuesday.

A free movie ticket without an expiration date will be given to donors who come to events hosted in locations around Knox County.

Donors will also be given a coupon for a free Chick-Fil-A and a chance to win Tennessee Smokies tickets.

Donors at Bruster's Real Ice Cream will also receive a free pint of ice cream.

Medic spokesperson Christi Fightmaster said in a press release, "We hope this incentive brings many people out so we can be prepared for any emergencies that might occur during the holiday."

The locations are:

Monday - Medic Headquarters at 1601 Ailor Ave from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Medic in Farragut at 11000 Kingston Pike behind Pittsburgh Paints from 9 a.m to 7 p.m. and Regal Cinema at West Town Mall from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Tuesday - Medic Headquarters at 1601 Ailor Ave from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Medic in Farragut at 11000 Kingston Pike behind Pittsburgh Paints from 9 a.m to 7 p.m., Knoxville Center Mall from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Bruster's Real Ice Cream locations on Emory Rd., Old Cedar Bluff Rd. and Northshore Dr.
