KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Breastfeeding mothers in the area and those interested will have an opportunity to learn about breastfeeding and take part in the worldwide "Big Latch-On" on Friday.
The "Big Latch On" will happen Friday morning at 10 a.m. in the pavilion of New Harvest Park in Knoxville.
For one minute, breastfeeding mothers are asked to "latch-on".
The event is part of World Breastfeeding Week.
Lisa Ross Breastfeeding Center and Lisa Ross Moms Group will host the event and offer information about breastfeeding.
Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero will issue a proclamation at the event at 10:45 a.m.
