KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT)- A lot of you saw the snow start yesterday afternoon.
A lot of it was a pretty, wet snow that fell through East Tennessee. It hasn't caused too many problems on the roads so far, but there are still a few slick spots out there.
Volunteer TV's Whitney Kent is out on the Liberty Street Bridge to give us a look at the roadways.
Whitney, how is traffic moving along out there?
Knox county was originally operating under a snow emergency plan, but has since canceled that. But some county roads are still a bit of a problem.
Back roads in other counties-- like Blount, Sevier, and Grainier can be a bit dangerous as well. That's one reason a number of area schools are closed, or on delay.
Dispatchers in Sevier County also say main roads like Newport Highway and Wears Valley Road have some rough spots.
While in Blount County-- spots like the Top of the World Community and Townsend are not an easy drive.
A number of area schools were also closed or delayed due to the weather.
