Knoxville, TN (WVLT) -- Are you a guitar guru? Perhaps you enjoy collecting them. The International Vintage Guitar Collectors Association (IVGCA) is making a stop in Knoxville this week on its world tour.
Buyers pay over 20% of retail's worth for vintage guitars these days. Brands such as Fender, Martin, Gibson, and Dobro are becoming huge even in the Japanese markets. The IVGCA recently found some rare guitars, including one that sold for over a thousand dollars!
At this week's event you can see collectibles in many other types of musical instruments too. This is a great opportunity to connect with other collectors around the world. You can stop by and make an offer on an item or see if your own special collectible is worth a big payout.
The event runs through Friday. The IVGCA will be available today through Thursday from 9:00am-6:00pm and on Friday from 9:00am-4:00pm. Everything will be held at the Best Western Cedar Bluff Inn located at 420 North Peters Road in West Knoxville.
