Paris (AP) -- Imagine taking a message to young people that they need to know more about their country's tradition of drinking wine.
While it might be unthinkable in the US, it's a real possibility in France, where a decrease in consumption has the wine industry worried.
The idea is in a report co-authored by a French lawmaker. He says "to be French is to know wine." so he's urging that young people there be educated and courted.
He says he's not advocating filling baby bottles with wine. But the whole idea is still upsetting to an association of reformed alcoholics. The group says they're shocked by the idea of bringing a wine marketing message into schools.
