Henderson, KY. (AP) -- 80-year-old grandmother Gladys Schaefer likes to keep busy.
The Western Kentucky woman loves boating, golf and is planning a trip to Las Vegas.
But last month was a first for her. She went hunting and shot a deer.
She shot the doe early in the morning after being out for about 30 minutes. She was hiding in a blind and used a rifle mounted on a tripod.
Schaefer, a breast cancer survivor, says her motto is don't stop doing things 'til you're in the grave.
She says she's looking forward to another hunt in 2007.
