'Dukes of Hazzard' Nixed In Cincinnati

Cincinnati (AP) -- The good ol' boys from the Dukes of Hazzard aren't welcome in Cincinnati.

The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra had planned an appearance based on the popular TV snow, featuring former stars John Schneider and Tom Wopat. But Schneider says the orchestra canceled it after learning some community members think the show was racist and offensive.

Schneider says it's "a huge shock" to know people remain so "narrow-minded."

The show was based on a Southern family driving a souped-up car called the "General Lee," with a Confederate Flag on the roof.

The local NAACP president says the group couldn't support an effort involving the flag.
