7 year-old hits mom with car while backing out of driveway

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Knox Co. woman was taken to the hospital Thursday morning after her 7 year-old son struck her with a car door while backing out of the driveway, according to the Knox Co. Sheriff's Dept.

The preliminary investigation indicates 30 year-old Leslie Seal told her son to back her 2009 Dodge Journey out of her driveway in the 11000 block of Wrens Nest Lane. When he put the SUV into reverse and started backing up, the by struck his mom with the side door and dragged her.

Seal was cited for reckless endangerment and the Dept of Children's Services was notified.
