CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Her name is EmLee Luckey and she was born on the seventh day of the seventh month of 2007.
This wasn't all left to chance.
Kerry and John Luckey's baby was due on July 22nd.
They told an obstetrician at the post hospital at Fort Campbell they hoped the birth would be on July seventh. The doctor induced labor early.
Kerry says she wasn't having any contractions last week and then they got too frequent. Eventually the couple were holding hands as they held off the clock on Friday night -- concentrating on Kerry not pushing.
The birth came at 1:22 a.m. on the Army post where John is based.
The Luckeys didn't roll all sevens. EmLee is the sixth child in the family and was born weighing seven pounds, nine ounces.
