CHENGDU, China (CBS) -- American pop group the Backstreet Boys met and played with giant pandas in Chengdu, capital city of southwest China's Sichuan Province, on Thursday.
The Backstreet Boys got some hands-on time with five baby pandas at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.
Each member of the group cradled a baby panda in their arms and let their furry friends nestle against them.
Later, while the lovely animals were busy munching on bamboo, the group had photos taken with them to mark the occasion.
The vocal harmony group even performed a song to express their love for the giant pandas.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the founding of the group, who as part of their 2013 world tour will hold a concert in Chengdu on Friday night.
