WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (AP) -- Kentucky State Police say it took three hours to pick up a truckload of salami from Interstate 75 after a truck crash.

Two tractor-trailers, both headed southbound on I-75, collided Wednesday afternoon just north of the Tennessee state line. An Ohio truck driver was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington and was reported in stable condition.

The KSP said several thousand pounds of salami were scattered in the southbound lanes, which were closed for about three hours while workers hauled it away.

Troopers don't believe either driver was impaired.
