KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii (AP) -- A Hawaii man has been charged with four counts of assault after allegedly attacking a group of men with a cow bone.
Hawaii County police say officers responded to a brawl outside a Kailua-Kona bar on Christmas Eve. They arrived to find four men with injuries from an attack with what is believed to be a cow's thighbone.
One of the victims was hit in the head and airlifted to Honolulu in critical condition. His condition was later upgraded to serious but stable. Another man was treated at Kona Community Hospital for cuts to his head and released. Two others received injuries that did not require medical attention.
Haas could not be reached Wednesday at Hawaii Community Correctional Center, where he is being held.
