WHITLEY CO, Ky. (WKYT) -- In an unusual attack in southern Kentucky, investigators say a suspect used a saw.
The Whitley County Sheriff's Office charged Jody Currier, 37, of Jellico, Tennessee, with assault.
On Sunday afternoon deputies say the victim, Greg Ball, 38, was struck in the neck with a saw at a gas station near the Tennessee state line. Investigators tell WKYT Ball and Currier were arguing before the attack.
They say Currier left before they arrived but they say he later turned himself in, and admitted what happened.
Ball is now recovering at the University of Tennessee hospital, where he was airlifted. He is in stable condition.
Currier was lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center.
