MEDELLIN, Columbia (CBS) -- A quick-thinking police officer snagged a man by the shirt as he allegedly attempted to jump in front of an oncoming subway train, saving the man's life in Medellin, Colombia.

The police officer's heroic act was caught by a subway security camera which showed a man standing on the platform uneasily waiting for a train to approach.

The officer appears to sense something is wrong before he grabs the man by the shirt and pulls him safely back onto the platform.
