BAGHDAD (AP) -- An Iraqi army official says civilians, including children, have been killed by U-S forces bombing a village 50 miles north of Baghdad.
The official says the civilians were rushing to help those wounded in an earlier raid today on Shiite militia fighters.
The U-S military says today's attack was aimed at the commander of a rogue militia group linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.
U-S officials say at least 25 fighters were killed. The Iraqi source says seven children are among the dead, and three youngsters are among the 28 injured. The attack was centered on a neighborhood in Khalis.
