Prince William and Girlfriend's Car Pursued by Paparazzi

LONDON (AP) -- In a scene reminiscent of his mother's final moments, a spokesman says Britain's Prince William found himself being pursued by paparazzi through the streets of London after he left a nightclub with his girlfriend.

British newspapers today ran pictures of William and Kate Middleton in a car. A spokesman for the prince characterized the paparazzi as "threatening."

The spokesman says it "seems incomprehensible, particularly at this time, that this behavior is still going on."

The chase coincided with the start of an inquiry this week into the death of Princess Diana in a 1997 car crash after being pursued by photographers.
